This year alone we were able to bring on 2 of our volunteers into paid positions, we doubled our educational opportunities and expanded their purpose, and gave away 100s of tools to makers in the field.

We have boxes of tools waiting for restoration and shipment, students turned class assistant or instructor lined up ready for future opportunities, and hundreds of aspiring chairmakers eager to take part in what we’re creating.

We need your support to continue this work. Help us get more drawknives in more hands by making a tax-deductible donation to CMT.

Your donation supports:

  • Scholarships for new chairmakers and aspiring instructors

  • Travel and meal stipends for class assistants

  • Postage and packaging to collect and send tools

  • Funding our small-but-mighty paid staff of three

  • Administrative costs that keep us going
