Carving Collection: Peggy Page
Our Living Tools Project has been entrusted with another tool kit to distribute, this time from master woodcarver Peggy Page. After spending decades honing her craft and assembling the necessary equipment, Peggy’s wish was to pass along her lifetime of tools to another craftsperson who identifies as a woman so that they can thrive at the workbench.
Peggy was an outstanding carver of hyperrealistic duck decoys and her commitment to fine detail comes through in this kit. It contains small and miniature gouges, various knives with different edge profiles, honing equipment, finger planes, and more. The tools are high quality and tuned to Peggy’s specifications. Thanks to her generosity, another craftswoman has an excellent opportunity to progress in the field that Peggy loved. This opportunity is extended to all woman-identifying makers.
The Chairmaker’s Toolbox is excited to receive your applications as we continue our mission to get tools into the hands of marginalized craftspeople. Send in your application by September 30, 2025 for your chance to be awarded the Peggy Page Collection.
